The Latest in Alternative Medicine

Alternative medicine has been around for thousands of years, and doctors, scientists, and researchers continue to discover new medical treatments and solutions by going back to the roots.

For a long time, alternative treatments weren’t studied in randomized clinical trials, but with holistic medicine making a big comeback in recent generations, treatments both old and new are getting a closer look and findings are sometimes are astonishing.

Since most clinical trials are funded by big pharmaceutical and technology companies, it was rare to find the funding needed to test alternative treatments. The National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine, established in 1998, paved the way to fund testing and researching these new and ancient therapies. This research is now being published in conventional journals to reach the greater medical community.

Alternative medicine has become so popular that many hospitals now have an integrative medicine department that specializes in combining holistic therapies with conventional medicine. According to The American Journal of Medicine, in 2010 42% of people utilized some form of alternative medicine, which is a big increase from the 8% that used them in 2008.

While there are many popular and proven ancient holistic therapies like acupuncture, chiropractic care, meditation, animal-assisted therapy, music therapy, and more, there are also many newer therapies and products that have shown promise like revitalizing vibrational medicine. Here’s the latest in alternative medicine.

Vitamin Infusions

For this therapy an IV bag is filled with an infusion of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and other nutrients, which goes directly into the bloodstream. These treatments have become so popular that many services even offer mobile treatment where they come to your home to administer the IV drip.

There are many different infusions available to treat a variety of illnesses or general wellbeing, however there are only clinical trials for some so far. One in particular that has been studied has shown very promising results. According to Cancer.gov, the studies showed improvement with high doses of vitamin C in cancer patients.

The patches by BioActivate contain no drugs and no ingredients, creating a 100% natural holistic remedy. Each patch is programmed using cutting edge technology to energetically interact with your body’s natural vibrations.

There are currently 4 treatments available including: a clarity patch that offers stress relief and focus, an immune boost patch, a pain relief patch, and a deep sleep patch.

BioFeedback Therapy

In short, biofeedback therapy helps you gain control of your body in ways you never thought possible.

Our bodies have many functions that seem to run on “autopilot.” Examples include our heart rate, temperature, blood pressure, etc. Although these functions seem involuntary, biofeedback therapy can teach us to gain control over them and much more. An example of this phenomenon is how some Buddhist monks are able to slow or quicken their heart rate or temperature at will.

During the therapy you are hooked up to electrical sensors, which help the therapist guide you to make subtle changes in your body using your mind. This can be used to treat many illnesses like chronic pain, headaches, urinary incontinence, asthma, ADHD, PTSD, and much more.
